Isaac and Darren have been friends since elementary school and have bonded over golf for many years. They have both worked in the golf industry and each bring a unique perspective to the game. Darren has a passion for the equipment and training and Isaac is inspired by the architecture of courses.
They don’t take themselves too seriously and love talking all things golf - from golf course design to PGA Tour news.

The Scramble Squad pod is a Shaped by Sports podcast. Every week Isaac and Darren recap the top stories in golf and give you their weekly predictions and overview of the upcoming tournaments. But don’t expect them to be strictly talking about the PGA, to them, the tour is just a small element of their favourite game.

Why “Scramble Squad”?
Ever played Scramble Golf? Scramble golf is a team golf format that allows each member of the team to contribute to the team score. From tee off, each team member takes their shot. The team then determines the best shot, the other balls are picked up, and each golfer drops and shoots from the selected position. So basically, if you have 4 team members, you have 4 chances on every shot. It's a great way for amateur golfers to experience the feeling of scoring low, thanks to the fact that a completely shanked shot can generally be ignored.
At Shaped by Sports, we absolutely love scramble golf for the team camaraderie, strategy, quick pace, low scores, and reduced frustration. The Scramble Squad podcast has a lot of parallels, hence the name. While Darren is the far superior golfer and more tuned into golfer analysis, Isaac is enamoured with golf course design and is a master in golf course maintenance. Darren is also overly optimistic while Isaac is on the opposite end of the spectrum. As a team, they deliver a fun, laid back, high energy and fast paced golf podcast that covers a wide range of golf topics.
